The new Hippius website is live, rebuilt to get you to the right product in as few clicks as possible. Whether you want somewhere private to keep your photos or an S3 bucket for your app's data, the homepage now asks what you're here to do and sends you to a dedicated page for it.

The timing of the website overhaul is very intentional. Hippius started as a distributed storage network on Bittensor and has since grown into a full cloud platform with five products: Drive, S3 Compatible storage, Confidential Compute, Hub and a new CDN. The old site was designed when there was far less to explain. This redesign gives every product its own space and brings all of the pricing onto one page.

Below, we'll walk through what changed, where each product now lives, where you can use it, and how the new pricing page works.

What's new on the Hippius website?

Nearly everything has changed apart from the logo. The site has a fresh visual style and new page layouts, but the biggest change is how it's structured and how it guides you from the moment you land.

The navigation is now organised by what people actually come to do. Drive sits on its own for anyone who wants a private home for their files. Cloud groups the developer infrastructure: S3 Compatible object storage and Confidential Compute. Hub has its own entry for AI models and containers, Pricing covers every product in one place, and Apps collects the desktop app, the mobile app and the web console.

Each product also has a dedicated page that explains what it does, who it's for and how to get started, so you no longer have to piece that together from a general overview.

A path for every product

People come to Hippius for very different reasons. Some want to back up a laptop and share a folder with a friend. Others want to point their existing S3 tools at a new endpoint, run a sensitive workload or push a 14 GB model. Instead of one general pitch, the new homepage gives each product its own section with a direct link to its page, so you can skip straight to the one you need.

Drive: encrypted cloud storage for everyday files

Hippius Website: Drive Page

Hippius Drive is the starting point for anyone who wants encrypted cloud storage without anything technical to set up. You drag and drop files, they sync across your devices, and you share a file or folder with a link whenever you want to.

What makes it different is what happens underneath. Every file is encrypted on your device before it's uploaded, so only you can open it and Hippius itself can't read what you store. The free plan starts with 10 GB, so you can start uploading your files straight away and see how Drive fits into your day before deciding whether you need more space.

Hippius Cloud: S3 compatible storage and Confidential Compute

For developers and teams, the homepage points to Hippius Cloud, which brings together the infrastructure for storing data and running workloads: S3 Compatible storage and Confidential Compute.

Hippius Website: S3 Compatible Page

S3 Compatible is object storage that works with the tools you already use, including the AWS CLI, rclone, boto3 and the AWS SDKs. You change the endpoint and your keys, and your existing setup keeps working. Data is encrypted at rest and stored across independent machines, which makes it distributed cloud storage with no single company holding your data. There are no egress fees, so downloading your own data never adds to the bill.

Hippius Website: Confidential Compute Page

Confidential Compute runs virtual machines on secure hardware where the VM's memory is encrypted by the processor, so the host machine can't read what's running inside. That makes it a natural fit for workloads that handle sensitive data. You choose from a set of fixed VM sizes and pay a flat hourly rate, billed per second, for as long as the VM runs.

Hippius Hub: models and containers in one registry

Hippius Website: Hippius Hub Page

Hippius Hub is one registry for AI models and the containers that serve them. On the model side it works as a drop-in for the huggingface_hub library: change one import line and your existing scripts, downloads and uploads keep working. On the container side, docker, podman and oras push and pull exactly as they do anywhere else. Everything you push is stored across Hippius's distributed network, and the free tier gives you room to try it with your own models and images before choosing a plan.

Hippius CDN: your bucket, served from the edge

Hippius Website: CDN Page

The newest addition, Hippius CDN, puts a cached zone in front of an S3 bucket, or a single folder within one. Your files stay in your bucket and are served over HTTPS from cache nodes in France and Australia, either on the zone's own hostname or on your domain.

It suits static sites and single-page apps, images and video, app assets and downloads. You control the cache rules, purge content whenever you need to, and set a monthly spend cap on every zone. If a zone reaches its cap, it pauses rather than billing you more.

Where can you use Hippius?

The new website also makes it easier to see where you can use Hippius. One account works across three surfaces, the different ways you can reach your files and services, and the new Apps menu brings them together in one place.

The web console is where you manage everything: your Drive files, S3 buckets, virtual machines, access keys and account balance. It's also where plans and billing live for every product.

The desktop app brings Drive to Mac, Windows and Linux. Pick the folders you want to keep, and they sync in the background across your computers with no separate upload step.

The mobile app is the newest surface, and it puts your Drive in your pocket. It backs up your photos and videos automatically and lets you upload, preview and share files from your phone. It's available now on both Android and iPhone.

How does Hippius pricing work?

Hippius Website: Pricing Page

Pricing used to be spread across individual product pages, which made it hard to see the full picture. The new Hippius pricing page brings every product together, where you can easily see plans and pricing across Drive, S3 Compatible, Hippius Hub and Confidential Compute.

The page also includes two tools that make it easier to plan ahead. The bill estimator lets you enter how much you plan to store and shows your monthly price straight away, and since Hippius charges no egress fees, that figure is your whole bill rather than a starting point. The comparison tool goes a step further: set an amount of storage and egress, and it shows what the same usage would cost with other major providers.

Every product draws from one account balance, which you can top up by card, Bitcoin, USDC or TAO. Prices are the same whichever way you pay, and you don't need any crypto to get started.

Final thoughts

The new Hippius website is built around one simple idea: whatever you came to do, you should be able to find it quickly. Here's a recap of where everything lives:

  • Drive: your everyday files, end-to-end encrypted on your device.
  • Cloud: S3 Compatible storage and Confidential Compute for developers and teams.
  • Hub: AI models and the containers that serve them, in one registry.
  • CDN: files served from your S3 bucket, cached at the edge.
  • Pricing: plans and pricing for every product, on one page.
  • Surfaces: the web console, the desktop app and the mobile app.

About Hippius

Hippius is a distributed cloud platform built to give users a verifiable alternative to providers like AWS and Google Cloud. Files are encrypted and distributed across an independent network rather than held in a single provider's data center. Every storage claim, payment, and miner action is recorded on Hippius's own blockchain, so instead of asking users to trust the platform, Hippius lets them check it for themselves. On top of that foundation sits a full product suite: personal cloud storage, S3-compatible object storage with no egress fees, confidential compute on secure hardware, and a container and model registry for AI. Hippius runs as Subnet 75 on Bittensor and was built by The Nerve Lab.
